TO / FROM THE AIRPORT
The Nice - Côte d`Azur International Airport is located 22 kilometers away from Monaco. Helicopter and bus services, taxis and hire cars provide permanent links between the airport and the Principality.

TRAIN
The Monaco-Monte Carlo (SNCF) railway station is a stop for many international trains. The railway is a rapid means of communication between the Principality and all the localities of the Côte d`Azur from Cannes to Menton.
The main station at Ave Prince Pierre is part of the French SNCF network. Tel. 08 3635 3539

Trains run to Menton (10 mins), Nice (20 mins) and Ventimiglia in Italy (25 mins).

BUS
There is no main terminus for buses in Monaco. They leave from various points around the city. Contact the main tourist office for details.
There are inter-city coaches to Nice and Cannes, via the Low and Middle Corniches, from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. and also in the direction of Menton, Italy and the villages of the back country. Here are some of the distance to main locations: Cannes 50 km, Genoa 174 km, Geneva 520 km, Marseille 205 km, Menton 7 km, Nice 17 km, Paris 958 km, San Remo 35 km, Turin 200 km.
Local bus routes are limited to five places. These include
- Monaco-Ville, Monte Carlo, Saint Roman and return
- Monaco-Ville, Monte Carlo, Exotic Garden and return
- Railway station, Monte Carlo, Larvotto beaches and return
- Railway station, Fontvieille, Hospital and return
- Larvotto beaches, Fontvieille and return

Monaco's urban bus system has six lines, and will take you to all the tourist spots.

BOAT
If you are thinking of arriving or departing Monaco by sea there are two major harbours, the Condamine (Hercule harbor) and Fontvieille. Each can handle yachts, intercontinental liners anchor in the bay.

DRIVING
The A8 motorway serves Monaco. The access roads are exit A8 - RN7 coming from Nice, la Turbie going to or coming from Nice and Roquebrune going to or coming from Italy. There are three major local roads: the Low, the Middle and the Great Corniches.
Major car parks include the following locations: The Chemin des Pêcheurs car park, under the Oceanographic Museum (coaches and private cars). Fontvieille holds almost 3,000 places for private cars and up to 200 for camping cars. The other main car parks are located in the Condamine in the Place St. Dévote, in Monte Carlo under the Boulingrins gardens, Avenue Princess Grace (Larvotto and Portier), Boulevard de Belgique, Avenue St. Charles, Avenue des Spélugues (the Metropole gallery), Boulevard Louis II, Avenue de la Costa and Place des Moulins.

TAXIS

Two main ranks in operation round the clock (tel: 93.50.56.28 and radio telephone 93.15.01.01) at the Avenue de Monte Carlo (near the Casino) and the railway station. After 9pm you will need to catch a taxi. Four supplementary ranks: Place des Moulins, Avenue de la Costa, Fontvieille, Beach Plaza.
